I have known George Govindsamy (formerly of Skycom (Pty.) Ltd.) for the past 12 years. My acquaintance with him began in 1999 when Skycom was awarded the Sapref contract for the complete replacement of our access control and time-recording application. This acquaintance very quickly developed into a strong relationship (that continues to this day) based on the great respect I developed for him, and high esteem in which I hold him whilst observing his delivery of both the complex technical and functional areas of the project.
George impressed, in a very direct way, with his high competence and admirable work ethic. He showed a rare trait and ability in being able to understand the greater and broader objectives of the project whilst engaging personally in its actual delivery. He also displays an active "listening" capability - a quality essential for the quick understanding and appropriate execution of customer requirements.

In addition, the personal commitment he shows in his work ethos brings a refreshing and customer-focus quality to the potentially divisive environment of any high-stress project. George's philosophy is always about doing the right thing first (placing his approach squarely and unequivocally along the lines of "the customer comes first").
The whole Access Control and Time-Recording project at Sapref (which was fraught with Sapref-specific requirements) was very successfully delivered on time and within budget, and most importantly, without a toll on the members who represented the project on both sides.
That this was not "project-limited behavior" on George's part is exceptionally illustrated by the fact that he has been able to sustain and strengthen this relation with Sapref for the last 11 years.

I would have no hesitation in engaging with George at any level of business, project or otherwise, confident in the knowledge that he would live up to his promises and high levels of service delivery. I am more than happy to engage personally with anyone who intends availing themselves of his services, safe in the knowledge that George will always uphold his end of the bargain.
